Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Argentine Republic
on Suppression of Visas in Ordinary Passports

The Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Argentine Republic, hereinafter referred to as “the Parties”,
wishing to facilitate the travelling of nationals of both States and to promote the bilateral relations development,
have agreed as follows:

Article 1

Nationals of either Party, holders of valid ordinary passports of their nationality, shall be exempt from the requirement of a visa when travelling to the territory of the other Party and to stay for a period of ninety (90) days for tourist, business, sports, artistic or scientific purposes, provided such activities are not paid.

Article 2

This Agreement does not exempt nationals of each Party from complying with the laws and regulations in force in the territory of the other Party.

Article 3

The Parties commit themselves to inform each other, as soon as possible, through diplomatic channels, of any modification in their respective laws related to foreigners entry, stay or departure.

Article 4

The Parties reserve the right to deny the entry or cancel the stay granted in its territory to those nationals of the other Party considered undesirable, or to those who change the purposes of their entry.

Article 5

Each Party may, wholly or partially, suspend temporarily the provisions of this Agreement, due to national security or public order reasons. In such case the suspension, as well as its lifting shall be notified within forty-eight (48) hours to the other Party, through diplomatic channels.

Article 6

The Parties shall exchange samples of the ordinary passports at the moment this Agreement is signed.
Should either Party issue a new passport, or make changes in the valid passports, these changes shall be notified to the other Party, through diplomatic channels, thirty (30) days prior to the date the new passports or modifications are valid, enclosing a new specimen.

Article 7

Any modification of this Agreement agreed upon by the Parties shall be made through an exchange of Notes Agreement.

Article 8

This Agreement shall enter into force sixty (60) days as from its signing.

Article 9

The present Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and shall remain valid ninety (90) days following the date one of the Parties has notified the other Party, through diplomatic channels, its intention to terminate it.
